The EPRA Work Programme for 2014 strikes a balance between:

1. forward-looking themes:

   • with a yearly session entitled "Beyond the AVMS: Future Models of Media Regulation";

   • a working group (in autumn) on "Digital Radio: A chance, a challenge, a risk".

2. essential values and core concerns of regulators:

   • with a yearly plenary session on "Tackling discriminatory and hateful content in a convergent media environment";

   • a yearly working group on the "Independence of NRAs";

3. practical/technical issues particularly suited for the exchange of experience and best practices between regulators:

   • with a yearly working group on "Empowering Users: Media Literacy and Protection Tools";

   • a working group on Major Events in the spring.

The 52 regulatory authorities which are members of EPRA will meet twice this year: in Budva on 4-6 June, at the invitation of the Agency for Electronic Media of Montenegro and in Tbilisi on 8-10 October 2014 at the invitation of the Georgian National Communications Commission.
